HR-Charity of Choice

Dear Fellow Human Resource Associates:

Hopefully, by now, you know that we are in a competition with the Marketing and Finance Departments to raise the most amount of money for the charity of our choice. Before we can get starting on the actual fund-raising process we have to select a charity to represent.

As you all know, Keith Handleman, our Senior Vice President of Client Affairs, passed away last month after a long battle with Colon Cancer. Almost everyone who knew Keith, knew he was not only a great friend, father, and husband, but he was a tireless worker who dedicated his life to our company. In his honor, I propose that we choose to sponsor the American Cancer Society. This is not only a great organization helping to save thousands of lives around America, but also a great way to show respect to Keith and his family for the love and support he showed us over his lifetime.

Here is a little background on the American Cancer Society (ACS):

ACS was founded in 1913 with the mission of eliminating and finding new ways to treat cancer. Through education, research, and community outreach, ACS is a one of the most well-known and well-respected organizations dedicated to addressing the cancer epidemic.

For more information please visit www.cancer.org

I hope all of us in Human Resources can join together and put our time and energy into winning this competition, not only for this great organization, but for Keith. Stay tuned for updates about our fund-raising events and please let me know if you have any questions and or ideas.
